A quick word of thanks to all the sound advice given by you guys which helped me achieve my first100k last week.I just took it steady and enjoyed the ride instead of watching the clock, took on plenty of food and water and didn't feel too bad at all afterwards.some new bib shorts(dbh excellent) chamois cream and gloves helped as well with comfort.4hrs 25 at 67years old, next challenge 100 miles, obviously! Thanks to all.

Which shorts were they?

I bought the dhb "Classic" men's bibs in Jan but during severl rides found this description slightly optimistic:
Designed for rides of up to 5 hours, these shorts feature a technically advanced Giro Super Air chamois from Italian cycling pad specialists Elastic Interface®
