I fly many miles on business, the majority with AF to tropical areas so this has a special interest for me beyond the horror of the accident. Putting aside the aviators' and meteorologists' obsession with acronyms, this is a fascinating and detailed analysis of the possible causes of the loss of AF447. With due respect to the tragedy of the flight, this guy is amazing! He is well acknowledged by the 'pros' who give the comment and I'm bookmarking this site. It falls into the same category of piemaster's recent ships thread - all the shipping movements detailed on a commercial website etc.. (sorry - forgot who posted the full version of that).
