Does anybody have any understanding of Alexa for assessing a site's internet traffic level.
I have just looked at the Alexa figures for Cyclechat. Among other things it tells me that the traffic breakdown is approx UK 70% , USA 10% , others 20%
I find this hard to believe. It seems to me that traffic is overwhelmingly from the UK

As I recall, Alexa collects stats based on data sent to them by the Alexa browser toolbar. Which users have to download and install themselves. So, not a very representative sample really.

A lot of the American traffic could be googlebots

At this moment of time 6.30am we have 40 'guests' and they're not all real people.
eg one of them is an ASK crawler whatever that might be

Whats an 'ASK crawler' - anyone know ?
