Another hello

Hi guys, im james from hampshire, new to forum and returning to pedal power. Used to do a fair bit of mtb as a teen. I am a keen gym goer but mainly weights not a lot of cardio! Looking at sheddding some weight and improving cardio especially as I am giving up smoking!
Bought my first road bike 2 days ago, specialized allez. Only done a couple of small rides (5miles each) to get used to it.
Sure I will be after advice soon ..................
