Hi,

A couple of weeks back I purchased Anti-Malwarebytes.

Now, what i did was removed the AVG-FREE BUT when i restarted the comp. the anti-virus was reported as missing...

So,

A - How do I stop that,

and

B - How do I get the comp. to recognise the Malware as the replacement

I think you probably should have left AVG installed.

Malwarebytes isn't an anti-virus client, it does a different job.

I reckon you ought to put your AVG back on again.

Alternatively, you could look at a different anti-virus product, there are plenty to chose from if you want a higher level of protection.

Cheers,
Shaun

My suggestion for a replacement to AVG free (which I used to use) is Avast free edition. I have it running happily alongside Malwarebytes.

Thanks lads - threw the AVG back on mainly to stop the infernal security alert !
