Elite Road Series kicking off today with the Chorley GP. Not sure how many others will follow this but I'm aiming to take a greater interest in the top end of the domestic scene this year.

Seems like this may be the first proper outing for Team Wiggins plus the usual suspects are there. I saw Raleigh GAC take a strong 1-2 in the Wally Gimber a couple of weeks back but with One Pro and NFTO in this they may not have it so easy today. Currently 18 riders have 1:15 on the peloton, including last year's series winner Yanto Barker.

Race report here: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/e...--NFTO-Pro-Cycling--wins-Chorley-Grand-Prix-0

A win for Ian Bibby of NFTO, having broken away from a trio on the final lap. Raleigh GAC second and third - looks like it was an entertaining race!

Good to watch. Seems like there was a big crowd at the start/finish line. We watched from the climb at Rivington - lots of tired faces on the 5th time up the hill. Dunbar must have kicked just after he got past us; would have been good to see that. Hope it comes back to Chorley next year.

Nice - looked like there was a good crowd on Rivington as well - impressed so many came out to watch.

This weekend is the second event, the Tour of the Reservoir, up in Northumberland: http://www.tourofthereservoir.co.uk/2015-races/

As with last year also includes a two day women's event...
