I know, an updated, contemporary BB would be world famous. And rightly so. She was ahead of her time (and lots of other people's times :-)

Vos, obviously, for this century. BB for the last. Marianne Vos is a cyclist well above her peers. BB was that in her time. (No disrespect to Nicole Cook meant, I just think that what what NC achieved a short while ago doesn't match what BB achieved in Nicole's mum's generation.)

I've had the book for years, & used to know Val Rushworth (was Rainbow, one of her contempories)

The Memorial Garden in Morley is a nice little tribute, if slightly tucked away

I saw a video of Beryl racing in a TT. Her chain ring made the bike look like it had three wheels.
