I'll continue to buy and enjoy Nescafe if it's all the same to you?
You can do what you like. If you want to give money to a company that invented "follow on milk" simply becuase you can't advertise "baby milk", for example - or -to repeat -that has a CEO that doesn't think access to drinking water is a basic right - then you give them your money. I'll pass, though.

Avoidance of brands is a personal choice it would be more helpful to link to the facts against Nestlé allowing someone to make an informed decision rather than telling someone what to do.
I honeslty thought it was something everyone knew about? There is even a section about it on Nestle's own website:

http://www.nestle.com/aboutus/ask-nestle/answers/nestle-boycott?gclid=CMKFxMmQhcICFfHKtAod0HMAjw

From - http://www.ethicalconsumer.org/boycotts/boycottslist/nestleboycottprofile.aspx (which also has a list of Nestle brands)
The boycott of Nestlé is the world’s longest running. It began in 1977 in response to the aggressive marketing of Nestlé baby milk formula in poorer countries.
Nestlé is now one of the most boycotted brands in the UK.
Monitoring conducted by the International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN) finds the company to be responsible for more violations of the World Health Assembly marketing requirements for baby foods than any other company. It quotes UNICEF "Marketing practices that undermine breastfeeding are potentially hazardous wherever they are pursued: in the developing world, WHO estimates that some 1.5 million children die each year because they are not adequately breastfed. These facts are not in dispute."

I'm aware of it but it's not known by everyone.

I avoid Nestlé, The Sun & Starbucks (among other) as much as possible. It's all a personal choice which I don't push onto others.

As I said before most international companies have a dark side. Nestlé are not alone.

Here for rides.
we use a Jura bean to cup machine at work; staff wanted a pod-type machine but we demonstrated that the waste and cost was greater with the pod systems and won them round. Someone collects the grounds for their allotment.

Just spoon in the ground coffee in your cup/mug

Don't forget not to drink the dregs at the bottom of the cup though

No need for all these coffee paraphernalia really if your desperate for a coffee

Instant coffee though? xx(

Those who use Moka pots or any other 'real coffee' making methods; aeropress, cafettiere etc, might be interested in sampling Pact Coffee. I've been getting their coffee for the past couple of months.

Anyone using the link; https://www.pactcoffee.com/spread/vernon-bslvtw@em can get their first 250g bag of coffee; ground or beans for £1 and can cancel their subscription immediately.

I haven't been disappointed with the stuff that they have despatched so far. It's also an ethical company that pays the farmers more than Fair Trade rates.

I haven't abandoned instant coffee, I use standard Nescafe for base loading my caffeine levels and top up with some ethically acceptable stuff to atone for my sins with Nestle.

I keep a jar of Alta Rica, and drink it strong with whole milk, just about passable. I also use a espresso machine, one in my office and one at home, really no competition. Colombian fair trade beans ground fresh. Stove top mokka pots are great if you can get on with the liquorice effect. It's great for thermos coffee though, but you need to use boiled milk.

Although the saving grace of instant is that you can eat it from the jar, which doesn't really work so well with beans. Mix with equal quantities of sugar though, otherwise you have the caffeine but not the calories you need to work with it
