Hold your breath and walk two paces away from the smokers. Then start breathing again normally.

Given that we cannot ban smoking altogether it is better that they are outside the building rather than inside. So stop blimmin complaining!

I (non smoker) used to have to work in an office full of smokers and drink in a pub full of smokers. Life is much much better now with them outside even if they are blocking the doorstep.

On the cost to the NHS (mentioned above somewhere). You will die of something at some point in your life and need hospital treatment. Be this smoking related or not. Not smoking can only delay this not stop it. So NHS will have to treat you at some point anyway, just earlier if you smoke. So cost of treating smokers must be saved elsewhere as they are not around to get something else in later life. Where the saving comes in is in pensions. If a pensioner dies 10 years younger it saves about £40,000 in pension payments for the government. Also the NHS is probably running on fag tax revenue.
So let the twats stand out in the rain killing themselves and paying lots in tax I say.
