I had similar, but more of a 'gronking' noise. I'd intended to remove and check the BB but after loosening the crank arms and finding I didn't have the tool to remove them <DOH> I squirted some lithium grease around the place and retightened the crank arm bolts.
Not sure what I'd achieved, but the 'gronk' disappeared..

Pedal standing up to check for that.

I know that but you will be surprised how many do not.

Saddle rails.
Seat post.
Where the cables stop on the down tube.
Speedo magnet touching pick up.

4 very popular places for noises to be coming from.

I had a clicking on my new cannondale and i tracked it down to my handlebars, it had half thickness carbon headset spacers that had 3 lugs that took the other half thickness, so anytime i put a bit of pressure on the handlebars it started clicking, i think the spacers were flexing so changed to alloy ones and the clicking stopped

Had the same clicking from my bb on my specialized Roubaix ,took it back to the shop and they checked and re torqued the bearing .So far hasn't come back

Quite dreadful

The bolt that holds the crank arm onto the shaft of the BB might be loose. I had the same kind of noise on a recent ride. The experts diagnosed it quickly and did up the bolt. Silence!

Check chainring bolts - tighten.
Take pedals off, re-grease treads, refit, ensuring they're tight
Take out seat post, give it and inside of seat tube a clean, re-grease and re-fit.
Are the handlebar bolts on the stem tight?
