I'll try to keep this short and sweet:

I'm a professional engineer based in Lancashire thats' pretty keen on cycling, both MTB and road - though currently doing far more road stuff right now. My wife would call me obsessed

I'm also an inventor, and working on designs for bicycle safety devices and training aids (can't say too much until patents are applied for). I've also had cause to look into protection given (or not) by todays bicycle helmets and so have a good knowledge of this area too - and would be only too happy to field the standard questions in this respect.

My bikes are a couple of TREK road bikes (both alu), a Specialised Comp XC and a rigid MTB built up from a Merlin frame.

Best MTB tracks IMHO: Seven Stanes in Dumfries, Whinlatter North and South loops.

Best road bike routes: Virtually any route taking in either the English Lakes or the Cowal Peninsular in Scotland

Finally, I'm trying to set up a cycling based T Shirt company but not selling very much right now. I would be really interested to hear peoples views on why my current Cavendish T isn't doing the business. I dont want to break any rules - especially with my first post, so if anyone is kind enough to want to give me an opinion I will send them the link by return

Cheers

Hello and welcome, I think you may find the helmet questions will be far from standard, but best of luck.
