Hi all...

I live in the Gosport/Fareham area and I'm currently training for a 100k bike ride in June 2011.

Starting to get a little bored of my cycle routes and was wondering if anyone on here was from the area and could suggest a few 20 - 30 mile rides (with a few hills I suppose)... or if anyone was part of a group/club that I could maybe join.

Hi,

My wife and I helped set up the "Round the Harbour" route when it was a Bike Week event as opposed to the present BHF ride.

Fairly simple route, but with a couple of hills.

Head towards Fareham rail station then cyt through the Gillies to Stubbington and Lee on Solent.
Follow the Coast to the Gosport Ferry
Follow the coast to the Hayling Island Ferry
Follow the Hayling Billy into Havant and then to Bedhampton Station.
Then go up along Portsdown Hill Rd
Travel along the hill roads (James Callaghan etc) then down Down End Road and Bath Lane to Fareham

About 30 miles.
