We get the little blighters in our garden and the nearest open fields are over a mile away, the moggies seem to get them on their face but Frontline means they drop off after a day or so (we were told by the vet to not try to remove them apparently they can leave their biting bits inside)
Good job you caught the infection in time, can be a very nasty disease. GWS
