Digital Camera Help

I have a Fuji Digi camera but it won't connect to the pc. It has been repaired but broke again after 2 years. I bought a Card reader for XD cards to get the pics off the camera and now that's stopped working, Well it's either that or the xd card is broke.
Any ideas how to get the pics off the camera. I don't want ot buy another card reader ideally as these seem fragile.

I can connect camera to my LCD Tv and thus can connect Laptop to TV.
Could I get the images off tv to laptop ?

There should be a usb port (or rather a mini usb) on the camera, just connect to a usb on your laptop, turn on the camera, and it should pop as an external drive in the same way a usb pen drive would, then just drag and drop the files you want.

Any mini usb to pc cable should work.

Yeah whe I plug in the Camera it doesn't even register it - It's as if the usb on the camera is broken.

You did switch the camera on?

Yes trust me the camera is def knackered.
It was sent off 2 years ago to be repaired with the same problem.
