Im in solihull too, not seen an electric storm like this for some years....

We've just had a magnificent welcoming display of donner und blitzen, here in Sedona az. Still 95 degrees though!

And yet it managed to miss us here but I could see that the storm was going to pass to the east of us from the radar! The garden could have one with a drenching!

On Thursday whilst I did get a little damp I checked and we had a grand total of 3 ml of rain!

I think my clothes where as damp as they had been from the previous really muggy day!
