Ferry (Caen to Portsmouth) booked for August 24th:
Filled freezer with chips and pizza for son that still lives at home:
Bought 5 tonnes of cat food so said son can feed cats:
Earmarked a campsite for the first night (25 miles from airport):
Studied and printed a Google map of how to get out of the airport (without ending up on a motorway) but on previous form will ride round in circles for at least half an hour before getting on the road we want (and also on previous form, will probably turn around after about three miles when we realise we're on the right road but going in the wrong direction):

Twiddling thumbs now, might have to go to the pub.
