The video says they have built 27,000 kms of segregated cycleways, and 17,000 kms of of on road cycle routes. I imagine that has helped as well.

Mind you, the flatness of the Netherlands is an advantage.

If that were true, much of eastern England (like the bit called Holland?) would be cycling paradise and we wouldn't lag behind such flat countries as Sweden and Switzerland. The biggest difference is politics, not geography.

I didn't say it was the reason, it's just an advantage... you missed the start, ' shows how it's possible to turn a car-dominated society into a better place to live. It just takes time and effort.' If the people of Norfolk wanted something enough they could start the change... as we all could wherever we live.... if we start trying.
