Is there a bread machine that gives you proper crusts?
I have one that my sister gave me as she doesn't use it any more, and while the bread tastes great, I really like a proper crusty crust.

The one above was my first attempt so I set everything to the middle setting. The crust can go higher but not sure how high.

The annoying thing about breadmakers, is you get the hole in the bottom of the loaf where the blade was.
Is there any way round that?

Might get a decent mixer with a kneading hook instead, and bake properly in the oven.
