IMO the link between cyclists and red light jumping is completely overdone. A journey a few days ago, saw a car jumping EVERY set of lights I came to. It has become the norm for drivers to run a light just after it changed.

Absolutely. It has got to the point round my way that it is risky to stop at a red light for fear of getting shunted up the back. The other day a car pulled out from behind me and overtook my car after I stopped at a red light. It was a taxi, but all the same...

Same as for driving a car, so it's riding at a standard below that of a competent and careful cyclist.

Plenty of room for interpretation there, of course.
