Would an Arthur's Seat Hill climb event type thing appeal? Or an excuse to meet and ride round Arthur's Seat and go to that pub 'what was used for the xmas meet' and / or Telemark and HJ 's magic cake emporium?

Feel you have been missing out? We had a couple of nice gatherings while you were too busy with prior engagements .
HJ & T's will definitely be available for the occasional CC Ecosse post-ride cake experiment, guinea pigs :mrpig: always required, be very afraid :tongue:

Arthur's Seat TTs can make grown men cry :laugh:

Hmmmm what would it do to "overly" grown men that still think they're teenagers?:ph34r::ph34r:
Would there be a bailout route to Chez T fuel station if required? ;)

On your 1st question - there is one way to find out ...
On your 2nd question - the road round Arthur's Seat is one-way  (apart from the bit you cycled up after your near drowning on the way to the Commie Pool) ... So there is no escape once you've started, you just have to carry on round :surrender::rofl:.

For those who haven't spotted the new thread yet, @Fubar and some others on Faceache appear to have done some thinking ...

Regarding Arthur's Seat - the climb is neither very long nor very steep, it just keeps getting a wee bit steeper when you've had enough, and there is always that extra bend when you think you are coming round the last one
