Displaced from Sydney and unceremoniously dumped back in Liverpool recently, so instead of cycling past beaches with sunshine beaming down, i'll now be looking for a bit of solace, by getting out on the bike, when i can find somewhere relatively safe to do so.

Honestly, the roads in Liverpool are a disgrace

Hoping to get out on the new bike this week sometime. I've never cycled in the UK, i'm sure it'll be fun.

Not sure what you mean by disgrace?
But having left Merseyside over 40 years ago, have fond memories. You don't know how lucky you are for cycling routes. You can go north, south and east into some really good routes. North Wales, plains of Lancashire, Peak District, Cheshire.

At least you don't have to watch out for tram lines in Liverpool any more.
