Hardly new, but started again

Hello to you all,
What to say? I bought a bike last June, a bit of a surprise to me. I guess my subconscious won again. Being retired, I only ride for fun, although if you asked me after climbing Otley Chevin I might not call it that. Living in Leeds, I have rediscovered that the only ways out of the city are uphill, although there are a couple of canal towpaths . . .
The riding I do is local for the moment, round trips of thirty miles or so, four or five times a week.

Hi Jon - good decision!

Yes, the Chevin climb is a bit tough. I was surprised by it the first time I did it. A mile at about 10% gradient without even a few yards of respite ...

Wow!! What a welcome. Thank you all indeed. Diolch yn fawr to Welsh Dragon. And oops to ColinJ, I meant the new chevin, or Leeds road. The old chevin is well beyond my legs this year.
