I'm Rich, living 2 miles from Carmarthen. Just heard about this forum on the Jack Thurston podcast 'The Bike Show'.
I moved here in 2020, a week into the lockdown. I couldn't explore the local area due to the local lockdowns. I've since been able to ride the trails at Brechfa a few times, what a treat!
I've ridden road in the past, and lots of miles around South Wales on a singlespeed steel bike. I'm in my late 30s now and I'm being more risk averse and slowing down, so i'm limiting myself to MTB, gravel/fire roads and cycle touring or 'lost lanes' has piqued my interest.
I've got an OnOne steel 29er hardtail, a 1998 Kona hardtail and an alu 2013 Kona Rove 'gravel/adventure' bike. Getting the family into biking, taught both kids (10 and 4) to ride last summer, and my fiance is getting really into MTB!
Looking to chat to or meet anyone local to me for rides and mutual love of bikes.
