New member, just signed up, after some advice on buying a new bike.....Is this the wrong time to start riding, with the horrible weather?!

No time is the wrong time. Just make sure you buy the right kit. Keep warm and you can have some amazing rides. We went across the new forest yesterday in -2 and it was spectacularly beautiful.
