Hi,

Serial lurker, first time poster.

I've been riding since April, predominantly the commute to work but occasionally just bosh out of a Sunday for a head clearer.

I have a sexy little hybrid, don't ask me to spec it, it's black and purple and I've added spokie dokes because I'm a 37 year old woman and I absolutely should be allowed silliness on a daily basis.

Had my first wipeout today; riding like a kn#b over leaf's and the back slid out. I've always wondered what my elbow looks like sans skin. Now I know.

The bike is fine, by the way.

I ride a hybrid and MTB. I have come off the MTB numerous times with varying degrees of bruising.
One day I'll grow up....

Felt like I'd been beaten the day after; lesson learnt - if I think I'm going to spoon off it, I'm probably going to spoon off it and should slow down.

Second lesson; don't tense.

Third lesson; let go of the damn bike!

Although saying that I've probably retained more skin due to panniers and a backpack!
