Hi,
I'm from Atlanta, GA USA. I've been cycling for just over three years now. I bought a hybrid back in 2008 and have ridden it several thousand miles until a couple of weeks ago when I bought my first road bike. It's been a long time coming.
I bought the first bike to get back into shape, to commute with, ride around town and the full intention of participating in a 500+ mile charity ride (which I did twice). I ended up riding the bike more like a road bike (changed out tires, pedals, seat, and a few other things) almost instantly and never used it for commuting. It's still a good bike and will now be used to ride to the store, etc.
I guess that's enough to get started.
