Help ID this bike please

Hi guys,
Looking at buying this bike, can anyone identify the year it's from.
Been told it's a Marin California but that's all the seller knows.
Looking at getting it for work and back etc. Any thoughts

Well it's a rigid (no suspension) Marin Mountain bike, so that makes it early to mid 90's possibly.
They are a decent brand so if it's been well looked after it will be fine, certainly better than a supermarket special double suspension monstrosity. Don't pay too much for it though

What do you think a good price is for it. £100??

I would suggest a value mid-way between the seller's asking price and your preferred buying price. ie he wants £100, you offer £50 - you both then settle on £75. I'm not suggesting that is the bike's value, just the process to follow.

Just found it on the internet after bit of searching Marin kentfield 2003.
