Been cycling on and off for years - never too serious. Started road cycling a little bit about 2 years ago, on advice following knee surgery. Don't particularly like the traffic side of road cycling, but we have got some good bypasses with plenty of room over the rumble strip.
Just bought a Canondale Quick CX3 for use on trans pennine trail type surfaces, as I intend to do more of this than road.
Oh yeah just spent 2 months doing nothing fitness wise with torn ankle ligaments. So it will be steady eddie for a while.
