Hi all, just getting back into cycling as a means to get fit ....

Quick question...

I was ready for my legs and back to ache but not my arms

"From Scotland" , keep them guessing, like myself.
Dunno about the arms, but if it persists you can give us more detail, type of 'bars, distance covered etc. and someone will be along with a solution.

Oh and welcome to the forum, from Scotland.

Have you tried pedalling with your legs? Might help...

Greetings from the sunny SW. Sore arms suinds like a set-up problem, maybe too much weight on your arms rather than saddle and feet. What sort of bike do you use?

Hiya Packrat :welcome: If you are new to cycling thing just need to toughen up to get used to things and your back muscles to get stronger but if ache continues something will be wrong with your set up, perhaps you are putting too much weight on the bars and need to bring them towards you (or your saddle forward) or raise them so you can sit more upright and depend less on your spine muscles.
