Honeymoon is Over - No Cav in Papers

I watched Cavendish win his 2nd stage last night on ITV4. So last night I was surfing through BBC Sport and noted no detailed report of his wins in the tour of Ireland. This morning, scanning the paper - no comment. He has been completely ignored. Has our media lost interest in cycling so quickly after Beijing or is Cavendish not regarded by the media because he did not get a medal?

Our wonderful jingoistic press only likes the bling of gold...

Watched last night too, Cav didn't look happy at all did he. But as he rightly said, the more stages he win's the quicker he forgets about the Olympics and moves on.

You won't see much about him in the Tour of Britain either. He's doing Tour of Missouri instead.
