Just got back from the worst commute home in a long time, complete with discovering some ****** had disconnected my brake whilst the bike was parked up, peds wandering blindly into the road and some **** trying to pull out of a junction into me...

So, a big thankyou to David Darricott for putting a smile back on my face!
David's one of the organisers of the Hopey New Year audax, and I returned home to find my Brevet Card, complete with a lovely letter from him giving a little write-up of the event. Honourable mentions for the guy on the fixie, and the rider who'd travelled all the way from Glasgow (to the Peak District)!!!
Next year's event is already booked for Jan 3rd, complete with friendly controls and soup at the finish...
