Hi,

I am looking for a new hybrid bike. I would use it mainly for daily commuting on road, some paving roads (1 mile + traing + 3 miles) but also for triathlon next year but just as beginner and 20k distance... my budget is 400 max.

I have seen a few but the ones I like most are:

http://www.merida-bikes.com/en_gb/b...hybrid/2016/crossway-urban-20-gents-6050.html
http://www.decathlon.co.uk/triban-500-flat-bar-road-bike-black-id_8322664.html

any good? any others I should check?

Thanks in advance!!

They are all decent, try them out. Personally I'd choose the Boardman, as it looks best. @gavroche recently got one

You might also want to consider a roadbike if triathlons are your aim

Do you mean you get the train as part of your commute (typo?), if so if travelling in rush hour, have you checked you can take a full size bike on the train?

yes...it was a typo...train I meant... and yes bikes are accepted even at peak times...

Road bikes are not for me...I have tried a few but I cannot get used to the bar...so many years with flat bars I guess...

I like the boardman but not the colour ;)

Thanks

another quick question... is there any outlet shop for bikes? I got my current merida very cheap from a local shop because it was from the previous year...
