Hybrid Tyre Advice

I have recently purchased an Elswick Torino bike and was wanting to tinker with the tyres into something more classic looking to suit the design. The ones I have seen are the Continental Retro Ride 700 x 50c ones, but I am not sure if they are appropriate and if they are, what inner tubes do I get. I am trying to be careful to get the right ones really as I think I know what I need but not 100%.

I don't really see many, if any, 700 x 50c inner tubes which is confusing me the most out of all this. I used to mess around with parts on my bike as a kid but I guess I lost my knowledge somewhere over time.

Thanks in advance for any advice, it's appreciated.

The tyre is 2" wide and quite podgy so it may not fit the frame of the bike.

There's not a lot of clearance, or there wouldn't be if the mudguards were fitted correctly.

Tubes are no problem, there's some in the tyre link.

Just make sure you get the same type of valve, looks like your bike has the wider schrader car type.

You could fit a narrower presta and a washer, but it's more trouble than it's worth when the correct tubes are available.

The tube might be marked 700c or 29" X a range taking in the correct width which is 50mm or 2".
