I cycle because... I got a bike on the cycle to work scheme & found out I love cycling (& wish I'd found it sooner!) I also cycle to lose weight (Jan '11 I was 20 stone, started cycling in Apr '11 when I was 17st 8lbs now I'm 16st 7lbs with 2 stone to go...)

For the pleasure and freedom of it; and because I've been cycling since tha age of 3, = 60, years of enjoyable cycling pleasure, road racing, TT and mountain biking. I also love the aesthetics of a nice bycycle. I'll stop when I drop!

... I get to exercise for 2 hours a day whilst commuting, at a cost of about 10-20 minutes extra travel time, instead of sitting on the fat lardy arse that I would have if used to have when I didn't.
