I've never ridden a trek road bike, but I have ridden a Fuel EX9 (4" FS MTB), and I was impressed. In fact, I'd have one, if I was buying another mtb...v nice ride and climbs like a rat up a drainpipe.

i have a trek mtb and v impressed with it, yet to try a roadbike but i think if i had that sort of money i may well go for something v v individual. but i do like the overside tubing, took a while but i ahve grown to like it a generation difference perhaps
