I discovered the true power of cycling last year after deciding that pedal power would be the best way to explore Chilean Patagonia. 1700km of Ripio later, I cant get enough of the bikes and believe that the clearness of thought that a long cycle ride can bring is something that many people are missing from their lives.
We bought 2 Specialized Hardrocks over in Chile which had already come up the Carretera Austral - attached some lousy quality panniers and cycled south from Osorno in the Lakes region to Villa O higgins in the far South.
The adventure of a lifetime (that we will try and beat next summer)
Currently residing in Glasgow - cycling to work and planning some trips out into the highlands on my new touring bike - Genesis Tour de Fer.
A sense of community seems to run strong through every area of cycling and in joining this forum I wish to find avenues to get more involved. Conversating about cycling delights and hopefully learning some technical information to improve my mechanical skills. n maybe pick up a bargain or two
