Does anyone know what make of inner tube this might be, it doesn't have a threaded valve which means that when you fix a pump it can move into the rim a little.

Isn't it just a presta without the threads? Some people prefer them that way.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
Probably less wear on the washer in the chuck too. (Annoys me that you have to buy a complete rebuild kit for my Joe Blow chuck when all I need is the presta washer )
I prefer Michelin 700c tubes as they have an unthreaded valve stem.
