Is it possible that the Raleigh team will be on the world tour any time soon?

I know very little about how pro cycling is structured and don't know where the Raleigh team are at in the hierachy of leagues or groups or however it is stratified.
Having a sort of nostagic soft spot for Raleigh it's good to know that they still have a team and it would be lovely to think that one day they might compete at the top. Is this a reasonable thing to hope for or would it take them being bought by an oil sheik to do it?

It's all a bit complicated, however this might help explain:

Essentially, if you want a nostalgic team to support based on a bike, chose something else than Raleigh...

Simple answer at present, no. Not enough money to even contemplate a proper go at Pro-Conti (Division 2, €2.5 milllion a year upwards) and for World Tour teams much less than €8-10 million a year is needed. That would buy some quality riders, because the present roster is OK for lower level stuff but need serious players for higher level races. Oh, and a full new management/support team as well. And a proper bus or two, etc., etc.
See how the money goes!

iv read that they plan on being back on the pro tour by 2019 and want to build the team organically rather than have a quick cash smash into the top before building a foundation. Each year the roster seems to get stronger and the retro kit for 2014 was a notice that they are ready to start the next phase of that push to the top again so dont count them out yet.
It helps that the militis team is considered one of the best bikes out there according to various reviews and rider feed back.

haha i put something very similiar on the raleigh fb page-great bike but the name leaves a lot to be desired-even its latin origins is odd.
