I'd stand by that, although I've never done it in the wet, and would worry about the brakes on the old crocks if it were wet.

The people in (or on) the cars are usually blue with cold, but manage to stay cheerful. And welcoming.

I would have liked to join this as my attempt last year ended in Brixton with a p*nt*re and heavy rain. I'll read the reports and pencil it in for next year. Hope the weather's good for it.

No one has to date - but that shouldn't stop you Bruce, from giving it dapper...
I've no doubt that were you to do so it'd fit in with the flavour of the day.

No, but over the years there have been a few more people riding vintage bikes that do.

I followed a bloke who was on a Penny-Farthing down the hill from Handcross to Staplefield a couple of years ago, ........ respect! the weather was absolutely foul, really wet, I was covering my brakes practically the whole way down.
