A few people actually follow African cycling here - I've started several threads about it over the years, if you check back. However, there is rather limited interest. Some, but it's limited.

This could be the furure powerhouse though, you get the feeling it's lack of money and opportunity that's holding things back, not any lack of ability. The north Africa scene in the old French colonies was always quite strong with some decent riders emerging.
