Beta bikes, Madison and freewheel were the names of a bke shop that traded from the same address in the 70's and 80's and Ravell was one if their marques. I think

Rear caliper looks like campag, simplex retro friction levers, neat frame so well worth it .....

IIRC early 80s. Really nice bikes and I lusted after one back then. I'd be very happy with yours! Mostly Touring or light-touring/Audax type bikes .... probably way ahead of their time.
The Freewheel catalogue was essential reading in those days, pre-internet bike porn.

Have you got anything you can try to I check the size? If you want a seat post and not bothered about the make then you can get them new for about a tenner.

Just thinking, if the frame is a touring frame it might be 531st which was 27.0 if memory serves. Is there a Reynolds decal on the frame?
