Yes...that's right Cutty Sark Gardens, by those bike racks near the Tunnel. No luck with getting a cafe to open up early on the day so far. McDonalds it may have to be... I didn't realise so many opened all night.

Well, if we could guarantee a number I think I could have persuaded someone...trouble is, I have no way of knowing how many will come on the ride this year, let alone how many folks will hang on for breakfast. So a McDonalds it will have to be. Weekday solstices are so much easier breakfastwise. We could stop off at Beigel Bake on the way up (although, their coffee could in no way compare to Bar Italia's...almost a different drink).

I didn't do it last year...But here's a ride report from 2013 http://lewishamcyclists.co.uk/midsummer-madness-2013/ from 2013, when Francis Sedgemore led the ride and I back marked it. It's his report. Not sure how many we'll get this year..it's usually quite well supported by the regulars on lfgss but I posted the ride up there this year and haven't had one response yet, which is not usual.

Catford McDonalds is 24/7 too apparently. Sorted! (There may be a hint of something in that comment...not sure whether it's irony, or something else).

Jane you may want to revise your times by about 15mins, at 4.08 we're getting day light so I'd suggest getting to Primrose Hill at 4am for full dark to light effect.

I'll be at Cutty Sark 2am

Sunrise is listed at 4.43..but it does get lighter before then I know. So, yes, we'll get there a bit earlier. Hope it's not too chilly. Bring something warm just in case!
