For those interested in comic art, today is a sad one... just got news that one of the true visionaries, Jean Giraud, AKA Moebius, is dead. Best known for his epic work, Arzach, and a major influence on Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli, he was also a mainstay of the amazing French comic, Metal Hurlant, which totally wowed me as a teenager, not least for the frequent and very beautiful naked women... RIP Moebius.
RIP Moebius. Métal Hurlant made up for a lot of tedious dramas by Beaumarchais and kept my faith in the French language. The Airtight Garage of Jerry Cornelius!
Ah, now I know who did the pictures on the wall of a friend's house. I have commented on them but I don't think she knew who Moebius was either!
Moebius (comic) strip. I geddit. ---- Sent from my mobile telephonic device using that Tapatalk app thingummyjig.
I'd assumed you were all talking about August Ferdinand Mobius, the mathemetician (and co-discoverer of the Mobius strip).
