My New Bike - 1982 Record Ace

Gah - Murphy's law has struck! I looked for ages for a Raleigh Record Ace, gave up and built myself a £400 road bike from scratch and then this arrives on eBay.

Damn it!

Still, two bikes isn't too many is it?!

I'm trying to get hold of a replacement pair of Michelin Club Tourist tyres for it before taking it out for a ride.

That's my bike.

It's actually a cut and shut. It is a Raleigh, but the front is a Grifter, and the back a Townster.

Both wheels are buckled beyond use, hence the picture standing still.

I replaced the brake cables with elastic.

You really really really don't want it.
