Assembling a bike using a Sora groupset. Came across this part in the box and can't think for the life of me what it is for. I've already installed the BB and crank so hoping its not something I've missed!

Looks like a spacer for a triple crankset

The crank seems to fit fine without it, will take it off and fit it though, must be there for a reason. Goes on the non drive side right?
