I bought some 27" wheels a little while back, due to doing other stuff I've only just taken a look at them this morning. After laughing @biggs682 and his high-geared freewheel (https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/sigma-chas-roberts-picture-heavy.204131/) I think I now need to atone!

Having read a bit about Regina 2-pronged freewheels I think this is one I might heft straight off to an old-school LBS to sort out. It's on a maillard hub, is this likely to be a strange thread?

Can't see the cutouts in the pic, is it a later splined Regina? Plenty of Maillard hubs have a good old English thread

Used to be standard kit for all club TT riders. Coupled with a 42/52 chainset. The little ring for club runs and the big ring when racing. Gave a nice straight thru set of ratios with hardly any duplication. I used to ride with a slight variant to this. A 44/54 front and a 14/18 five speed block. Seemed to manage fine with the hills in those days with a bottom gear of about 66". Not quite the same nowadays. Dont know why?
