Novice question. I have a Cannondale synapses tiagra. (2014) The chainset is FSA Omega BB30 with 50 /34 FSA chainrings. The chain and cassette are worn and need replacing and the '50' chainring looks the worst for wear so i want to replace that as well. The 34 looks OK. However i have searched the internet and cannot find one supplier in the UK for the 50 chainring. I would rather not need to replace the whole chainset. So the questions are:
1. Does anyone know where I can obtain this chainring. (I think its called FSA pro road compact chainring)
2. If not can the two chainrings be replaced by another make, such as Shimano using the existing crankarms...ie Is it possible that the FSA crankarms will fit Shimano chainrings.
3. Any other advice would be welcome.
thanks in advance of replies.

My advice - go to your local bike shop and get them to fit something that does not have the letters F, S and A attached to it.

Stronglight, TA etc make generic chainrings that are a perfect fit...except you lose the graphics and colours(albeit just black or grey).
