I currently store my bikes in a locked shed at the back of my house, the shed is literally 1 metre away from my kitchen window, it has a heavy duty hasp and padlock and a dead bolt also padlocked. My main bike is secured with a motorcycle heavy duty chain (cloth covered) with five digit combination lock and also a heavy duty steel cable with a good padlock, I have just ordered a remote controlled alarm with infra red sensor and 130db siren for inside the shed................................oh and I also have two German shepherds, do you think I've got enough security ?

Get an alarm mine that fires blank 12 bore cartridges.......

It might give an intruder cause to reflect while his ears are still ringing.

This isn't directed at the OP,but don't we sometimes go a bit overboard with concerns about bike theft? I know we love our machines no matter how much they cost but they are only bikes after all!

You can get trip mines that fire blank shotgun cartridges fairly easily. If course, if you should accidentally install loaded shotgun cartridges... perhaps bear shot...
