Shimano PD-R550 problem

Was out today and noticed i was clicking out very easy, so easy i thought i wasn't clicked in properly, i noticed the pin the connects the bit that clicks hanging out, i had to knock it back in at the roadside, it has a splined shaft that holds it in from the inside, am i going to have problems keeping it connected or can i make a repair such as gluing it in place, or would i get them replaced as i bought them from a shop through Amazon on 6th sept last year.

Depends what mileage you are doing if you can consider 12 months of use as acceptable.

looking at your mileage in you sig block, is 2k miles enought for you to buy antoehr set? Probem with amazon is you cant take it back, easily.
