Advice please.What alternative 11 speed chains can I use with this rear mech/ cassette.Are kmc or SRAM compatible.

If they say a 11speed they are compatable with your 11speed. FWIW KMC are my favourite chain purely becauese they are reopenable at 10sp, SRAM aren't but I don't know about 11sp.

The problem is on looking at the various suppliers web sites the recommendations state compatible with Campag or sram.but not shimano.I am wondering if this is liability issue.

I'm running a KMC chain which says compatible with both Shimano and Campag (that way I can put it on either of bikes, ones shim, ones campy), IIRC is the 10.93. I think some campag only chains are too narrow for shimano but it'll clearly say, I've never had a problem finding one suitable but I don't know what the supply is like for 11sp. Good Luck
